Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Lube Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, fluid top-offs, and basic inspections. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills to ensure customer satisfaction and vehicle safety. Prior dealership or mechanic experience is highly valued, along with strong mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and power tools. The Lube Technician plays a vital role in maintaining the operational efficiency of our service department while providing professional service to our customers.
Duties
- Perform oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid top-offs efficiently and accurately
- Conduct basic vehicle inspections to identify potential issues
- Use hand tools and power tools to complete maintenance tasks
- Assist with vehicle diagnostics and minor repairs as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and ensure proper disposal of waste materials
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding services performed and recommended maintenance
- Support sales efforts by informing customers about additional services or products that may benefit their vehicle
- Assist in maintaining inventory of parts and supplies required for routine maintenance tasks
- Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all team members
Experience
- Dealership experience or mechanic background preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair and maintenance essential
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment beneficial
- Prior experience in customer service within an automotive setting is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during vehicle servicing
- Knowledge of automotive systems, maintenance procedures, and safety standards required
