Job Overview
We are seeking a PART TIME reliable and professional Class 5 Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing excellent customer service while operating a company F450 Flat deck. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficient driving, and effective communication with clients and team members. Previous warehouse experience and familiarity with commercial driving are highly valued.
Hours are 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm Monday to Friday
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 5 commercial vehicle to deliver products to designated locations.
- Load and unload goods, utilizing moving equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Ensure accurate delivery of items, verifying order details and obtaining signatures when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the delivery vehicle at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during deliveries.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents promptly to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving, warehouse operations, or related fields preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks regularly throughout the shift.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate deliveries.
- Physical stamina for long periods of driving and manual handling of goods.
- Prior experience in moving or logistics roles is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for specific job duties.
Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
