Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Crew Member specializing in fencing and retaining walls to join our team. This role involves working on various residential and commercial projects, contributing to the installation, repair, and maintenance of fencing systems and retaining wall structures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction practices, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist in the installation of fencing and retaining wall systems according to project specifications and blueprints.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to perform construction tasks.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings to ensure accurate project execution.
- Prepare site materials including concrete forming, masonry work, and concrete finishing as needed.
- Measure and cut materials precisely using carpentry skills such as framing, caulking, and tile laying.
- Assist with excavation, grading, and site preparation activities.
- Support other trades such as electrical, plumbing, or restoration work when required.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly.
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
Experience
- Prior experience in construction is preferred, especially in fencing, retaining walls, masonry, or carpentry.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating is advantageous.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, concrete forming, concrete finishing, welding, flooring installation, tile laying, electrical work, plumbing, masonry, restoration, cabinet installation, painting, caulking, heavy equipment operation, and other related skills is highly desirable.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Experience with construction safety standards and protocols is essential.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in various weather conditions. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about construction projects and looking to join a growing company from the ground up.
