Toromont Remanufacturing is looking for a Service Advisor to join our team in Bradford, ON! This position will be a primary contact for all internal and external stakeholders with regards to Toromont Remanufacturing components and service jobs, utilizing general technical knowledge and customer service skills to provide exceptional service in an effective and timely manner. The Reman Service Advisor will also collaborate with the Production planning team, Supervisors and Coordinators to ensure quotes, timelines and processes are maintained to support accurate and timely WIP (work-in-progress) processing.

In a typical day, YOU will:
- Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviors at all times, in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives
- Manage customer inquiries as the primary contact for exchange and flip exchange component sales to branches, remote mine sites, service jobs, sea lift management, walk in customers
- Manage cores as they are returned, review turns, assign cores and submit production requests
- Review back-order report daily, fill backorders and create customer purchase orders as required
- Update Reman inventory management system as required with work order information, component status and completion timelines, ensure accuracy
- Complete customer quotes as required and obtain quote approvals
- Schedule component repairs and rebuilds with the production planning team
- Coordinate with Service Supervisor, MSRs and PSSRs to meet all deadlines for component repairs
- Provide customer support for incoming calls and effective follow-up during and after component repairs
- Manage additional billing when required based on core criteria, communicate add bill, track and follow up to ensure timely recovery
- Review inventories on component completion, transfer inventory to best stocking location based on consumption
- Provide shipping instructions and arrange special freight moves as required
Must-haves for this role:
- Post-Secondary Education with experience in sales, parts counter or customer service would be an asset
- Safety conscious with a technical aptitude and basic knowledge of Caterpillar and or competitive product lines
- Customer centric team player with a strong sense of urgency
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work effectively within cross functional teams
- Attention to detail, efficient time-management and effective planning skills with the ability to quickly adapt to multiple and often changing schedules and priorities in a deadline driven environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications including Excel, Word and Outlook (experience with DBS and SIS would be an asset)
- Must be willing and able to accommodate flexible shifts and non-standard hours in support of business needs
