Reliable operations depend on having the right parts in the right place at the right time.
BJ Energy Solutions is adding a Parts Specialist to our Clairmont Supply Chain team. In this role, you will support the receipt, storage, movement, tracking and availability of parts and materials used to maintain BJ’s TITAN™ hydraulic fracturing equipment and supporting operations.
You will work closely with maintenance, operations and the centralized purchasing team to maintain accurate inventory records, resolve discrepancies and ensure critical parts are available when required.
This opportunity is well suited to an organized and dependable parts professional who understands warehouse operations, inventory control and the importance of supporting safe, reliable field execution.
What You Will With
- Heavy-duty truck, oilfield and hydraulic fracturing equipment parts
- Maintenance, repair and operating inventory
- Warehouse receiving, storage and material-handling processes
- Inventory-control and cycle-counting systems
- Purchase requisitions, receiving records and packing documentation
- Microsoft Dynamics AX and related inventory databases
- Centralized purchasing, maintenance and operations teams
What You Will Do
- Receive, unload, unpack and inspect incoming parts and materials.
- Verify shipments against packing slips, purchase orders and receiving documentation.
- Identify and report shortages, damage, incorrect items or other shipping discrepancies.
- Load, move, organize and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Accurately record the receipt, movement, issuance and storage location of inventory.
- Receive and issue parts and materials to maintenance, operations and other authorized personnel.
- Maintain records of requisitions, inventory transactions and material movements.
- Initiate purchase requisitions and order standard inventory items as required.
- Work collaboratively with BJ’s centralized purchasing team to source and secure parts.
- Complete cycle counts, stock counts and inventory audits.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain warehouse security and follow established access and material-control procedures.
- Operate material-handling equipment safely and in accordance with applicable procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe warehouse environment.
- Complete all work in accordance with BJ Energy Solutions’ safety requirements, policies and Code of Conduct.
What You Bring
- Three or more years of parts, warehouse or inventory experience, preferably in a commercial truck, heavy-duty equipment or industrial environment.
- Previous oil and gas, hydraulic fracturing or field-service experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of inventory-control, warehousing and material-handling practices.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and complete inventory transactions effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to coordinate assigned work and follow through on operational requirements.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a broader Supply Chain team.
- Self-motivated, dependable and committed to providing responsive internal customer service.
- Flexibility to work overtime or adjusted hours when operationally required.
- Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or a comparable inventory-management system is an asset.
- Apprentice or Journeyperson Parts Technician certification is preferred.
