Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bindery Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating bindery equipment to produce high-quality printed materials, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities
- Operate bindery machinery to assemble, trim, fold, and finish printed products according to specifications.
- Monitor equipment during operation to ensure proper functioning and quality output.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery to minimize downtime.
- Assist in bindery when needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and optimize workflow efficiency.
Experience
- Prior experience in printing, mainly folding and cutting.
- Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation and maintenance is highly desirable.
- Experience with machining or similar technical skills will be considered an asset.
- Familiarity with forklift operation and warehouse procedures is a plus.
- Previous experience working with bindery or finishing equipment is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. This position requires a proactive attitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
