Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Mentoring Coordinator to lead and oversee mentoring programs within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering, implementing, and managing mentoring initiatives that foster personal and professional growth for participants. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. The Mentoring Coordinator will work closely with community partners, volunteers, and mentees to ensure program success and positive outcomes.
Duties
- Recruit, screen, train, and support volunteer mentors and program participants.
- Facilitate and monitor mentoring relationships to ensure positive outcomes and participant safety.
- Build strong relationships with schools, families, volunteers, and community partners.
- Coordinate and support youth-focused post-secondary and career readiness initiatives, including mentor recruitment, participant engagement, partnership development, and program delivery.
- Plan and facilitate mentoring activities, workshops, and youth engagement opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with National Standards and agency policies.
- Measure program outcomes and contribute to continuous program improvement.
- Participate in agency events, fundraising activities, and community initiatives.
Experience
- A diploma or degree in a human services-related field.
- Experience working with children, youth, families, volunteers, or community programs.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed and strengths-based practices.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and database systems.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- A commitment to inclusion, diversity, and positive youth development.
- A valid Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Abuse Registry Check (or ability to obtain).
- A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.
Pay: $24.73-$30.22 per hour
