We are a nurturing, child-focused early learning center committed to providing a safe and stimulating environment that fosters the growth and development of every child. We are currently seeking a passionate and qualified Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) with Montessori training to join our team in East Gwillimbury.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum based on both Early Childhood Education (ECE) principles and Montessori philosophy
- Create engaging, hands-on learning experiences that support children's physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development
- Guide children through Montessori materials and lessons, fostering independence, concentration, and love of learning
- Ensure the safety, well-being, and supervision of all children at all times
- Observe and document children’s progress and behavior; communicate with parents and staff regularly
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment
- Collaborate with other educators and support staff to create a cohesive, respectful team environment
- Follow all licensing regulations, health & safety protocols, and organizational policies
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and parent-teacher conferences as needed
Qualifications:
- Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
- Montessori Certification from a recognized training institute (e.g., AMI, MACTE)
- Minimum of [1-2] years experience working in a licensed child care or Montessori environment
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR Level C certification
- Up-to-date Vulnerable Sector Check
- Strong knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA) and How Does Learning Happen? (HDLH?) framework
- Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team and independently
