Job Overview
As a Budtender, you are the face of the dispensary and play a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience. Your primary responsibility is to educate customers about cannabis products, ensure compliance with all regulations, and provide friendly, knowledgeable service that reflects the company’s values and standards.
You will assist customers in selecting products based on their needs, preferences, and experience level, while maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant sales floor. A successful Budtender demonstrates professionalism, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for cannabis education and customer care.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner.
- Educate customers on various cannabis products, including strains, concentrates, edibles, and accessories.
- Accurately handle sales transactions and maintain compliance with provincial regulations.
- Verify customer identification and ensure all purchases meet legal requirements.
- Maintain product knowledge and stay up to date on new inventory and industry trends.
- Keep the dispensary clean, organized, and stocked.
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and cannabis retail laws.
- Assist in inventory management, labeling, and restocking when needed.
Qualifications
- Previous Cannabis retail or customer service experience Min of: 2 years
- Knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and effects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle cash accurately.
- Must meet legal age requirements for cannabis retail and hold a valid CannSell certification.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
