Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Floor Manager to oversee daily operations within our vibrant hospitality or food service establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests. A background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling is essential, along with familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS. Previous experience in supervising teams, interviewing potential staff, and managing restaurant or hotel operations will be highly valued. The Floor Manager plays a critical role in ensuring smooth service flow, maintaining high standards of hospitality, and fostering a positive team atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily restaurant or food service operations to ensure efficiency and high-quality guest experiences
- Supervise and manage team members, including interviewing, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Coordinate food preparation and cooking activities to meet quality standards
- Manage cash handling processes and operate POS systems such as Micros POS accurately
- Monitor customer service interactions to maintain excellent hospitality standards
- Address guest concerns promptly and professionally to resolve issues effectively
- Assist with food presentation and serving when necessary, including barista or hospitality duties
- Lead by example in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and safety protocols across the floor
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and smooth workflow
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within the food industry or restaurant management roles
- Extensive food service experience including food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively in fast-paced environments
- Experience interviewing potential staff members and conducting performance reviews
- Background in hotel or hospitality management is a plus
- Previous roles involving restaurant experience, kitchen operations, serving, or barista work are advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to handle cash transactions accurately and manage customer interactions professionally

Pay: $70,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
