We are looking for an experienced childcare educator with a minimum of a Level 2 to hire who is great with building positive relationships and efficient in completing admin tasks !
Tasks would include things like monitoring/inspecting minimum of 15 dayhomes, ensuring that all licensing and agency regulations, standards, and health & safety practices are always followed by dayhome educators, and ensure daily programming of the dayhomes are in line with the Agency’s philosophy of early learning.

Responsibilities:
- Support, guide and work alongside educators to ensure high quality programming within the dayhome.
- Ensure that all educators understand and follow all policies and procedures within the Early Learning and Child Care Act, the Early Learning and Child Care Regulation, the Family Day Home Standards Manual, FLIGHT Curriculum, and SPICE’d Dayhome Agency Handbooks.
- Conduct necessary Educator Training Plans and Assessments
- Travel to Edmonton a minimum of 3 times a year; depending on company needs.
- Have a reliable mode of transportation to get to all dayhome educator programs across the province.
- Approve and Contract with dayhome educators who are able and willing to meet Ministry standards
- Implement necessary actions required to remedy non-compliances in a timely manner
- Ensure all records are up to date (ChildPilot, Google Drive, Internal Platforms, Excel Sheets)
- Lead weekly/monthly meetings to discuss emergent issues and offer guidance and training that will enhance the educator’s performance and their dayhome.
- Respond to all emails, phone calls, text messages, and voicemails in a timely manner (within 3 hours MAXIMUM)
- Conduct prompt enrolment procedures
- Observe and conduct inspections of dayhomes
- Investigate complaints and incidents, ensuring all complaints about a program are documented on the Family Day Home Program Complaint Record form
- Send out memos to dayhome educators with emergent information and reminders.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism in both conduct and dress code (see Dress Code Policy)
- Build positive relationships with educators, children, and families
- Multitask
- Work with up to 6 children at a time (Between 0-12 years old)
- Report to Executive Director; proactive in communication with known tardiness, absences, and vacation times.
- Perform other duties as required
- Be able to problem solve with educators, agency staff, children, and families in a professional manner
