Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Refrigeration Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC, mechanical systems, and appliance repair, with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain refrigeration units efficiently. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with experience in plumbing, welding, boiler systems, and construction to apply their expertise in a dynamic environment. The Refrigeration Technician will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of refrigeration equipment, performing routine maintenance, and addressing emergency repairs to minimize downtime and ensure safety standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair commercial and industrial refrigeration systems, including HVAC units and related mechanical equipment.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC systems to ensure optimal operation.
- Troubleshoot complex issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools.
- Conduct plumbing and welding tasks as needed for system repairs or upgrades.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance.
- Assist with boiler maintenance and mechanical system troubleshooting when required.
- Read and interpret schematics to diagnose issues accurately and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborate with construction teams during system installations or upgrades.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Refrigeration Technician or in a similar HVAC/mechanical role.
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, HVAC equipment, boilers, plumbing, welding, and appliance repair.
- Mechanical knowledge related to maintenance of industrial machinery and mechanical components.
- Experience reading schematics and technical diagrams for troubleshooting purposes.
- Prior experience working with construction projects or installation of mechanical systems is preferred.
- Mechanic experience with a focus on refrigeration or HVAC systems is highly desirable.
This position requires a proactive approach to maintenance, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure the reliability of refrigeration systems across various settings.
Pay: $75,000.00-$80,000.00 per hour
