We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented individuals who have experience running a Brake Press, Drill Press and Saws in a fab shop environment.
The ideal candidate will operate equipment such as the brake press to bend and shape metal components according to precise specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge to ensure high-quality production.
This role is critical in the metal fabrication process, transforming raw metal sheets into finished products through precise bending and shaping. The role requires technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor equipment to produce accurate bends in sheet metal according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine bending angles, dimensions, and sequence of operations.
- Utilize CNC programming skills to input and adjust machine parameters for optimal performance.
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on equipment to ensure smooth operation.
- Conduct quality inspections using calipers, measuring tools, and visual checks to verify conformance with specifications.
- Assist with related machining tasks such as CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, saw and drill press as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with others to meet production deadlines and uphold quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating brake press machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming, machining processes, and blueprint reading.
- Familiarity with related equipment such as CNC laser cutters, plasma cutters, CNC lathes, CNC milling machines, cranes, forklifts, hand tools, and welding equipment is preferred.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to bending angles and dimensions.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues effectively.
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality inspection using calipers and other measurement tools.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
