Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and personable Hair Stylist to join our vibrant salon team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hair styling and delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves creating stylish and personalized haircuts, color treatments, and styling while maintaining a welcoming environment for clients. The Hair Stylist will also engage in retail sales and promote additional services to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue.
Duties
- Provide professional hair styling services including cuts, color, blowouts, and special treatments tailored to client preferences.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by listening carefully to clients’ needs and offering expert advice.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas, tools, and equipment.
- Upsell retail products such as shampoos, conditioners, styling tools, and hair care treatments to clients.
- Manage front desk responsibilities including scheduling appointments, checking in clients, and processing payments.
- Foster strong communication with clients to ensure their expectations are met or exceeded.
- Promote salon services and special offers to increase client engagement and retention.
Requirements
- Proven experience in hair styling with a strong portfolio of work.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients.
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and best practices in a salon environment.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Ability to upsell retail products naturally during consultations.
- Experience with retail sales and front desk operations is preferred but not required.
