About the Opportunity
The Flock Mixed Martial Arts Academy is Leaside’s only MMA Gym offering training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, Boxing, Wrestling, MMA & Personal Training.
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Licensed Independent Physiotherapist to join our dynamic team as an independent contractor. This role is ideal for a clinician who values autonomy, flexible/self scheduling, and the ability to build/manage their own caseload as well as take on patients we provide while working within a supportive professional environment.
We are a martial arts and fitness facility looking to onboard a Licensed Independent Physiotherapist to provide physiotherapy to clientele. This is a great opportunity to bring existing patients, service our amazing membership base as well as expand your network and grow!
The physiotherapist must adhere to the existing culture and work independently within the time frames where no regular classes are being held.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and treatments
- Develop individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans
- Educate patients on recovery, injury prevention, and home exercises
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, as needed
- Manage patient caseload independently while maintaining high standards of care
- Manage personal scheduling, bookings, and payments independently
- Collaborate and coordinate with the gym regarding treating patients to ensure gyms programs are not interfering with patient sessions and quality of service
Ideal Candidate
- Registered/Licensed and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
- Professional liability insurance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and professionally
- Experience in private practice is considered an asset
- Additional certifications such as acupuncture, pelvic health, vestibular therapy, concussion management, or manual therapy is considered an asset
