Parts Clerk

MacKay's Truck & Trailer Center is growing, and we are seeking a permanent full-time Parts Clerk to join our team in Truro, Nova Scotia.

About the Role
As a Parts Clerk, you will play a key role in supporting our customers and service team by providing timely and accurate parts solutions. You will work closely with the Parts and Service Departments to balance customer needs and operational demands in a fast-paced environment.
Building strong relationships with customers, maintaining product knowledge, and delivering outstanding service will be essential to your success.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers with parts inquiries, orders, and product information.
- Maintain and develop strong knowledge of truck, trailer, and equipment parts and services.
- Work collaboratively with the Parts and Service Departments to support efficient operations.
- Process parts orders accurately and efficiently.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and coworkers.
- Contribute to a positive customer experience by providing professional and responsive service.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude with a customer-focused approach.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Computer proficiency and the ability to learn new systems and processes.
- Experience in the trucking, heavy equipment, automotive, or related industry is considered an asset.
- Previous experience in a Parts or Service Department is preferred.
