The Food and Beverage Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the cafeteria, grab and go, and bar areas. This position requires a high level of communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Supervising team of coordinators, runners, servers, bartenders, cashiers and expeditors
- Scheduling work rosters for the front of house team, ensuring the correct level of staffing is achieved on each shift
- Monitoring staff performance and giving feedback where necessary
- Hiring and training new employees so they meet high quality standards (onboarding packages, contracts, WHMIS, health and safety, relevant certifications, etc.)
- Greeting guests
- Responding quickly and sympathetically to any customer concerns
- Adhering to all health and safety requirements, including food hygiene regulations
- Supporting colleagues and staff during busy periods, including taking orders, serving meals and clearing tables
- Liaising with the kitchen staff to ensure an efficient and seamless service
- Ordering of all consumables and alcohol for both bar and cafeteria
- Ensuring bathrooms and front of house are properly cleaned on a regular schedule
- Working closely with the Kitchen Manager and the Event Manager to ensure proper staffing levels and set up requirements.
- Working with the Kitchen Manager and Event Manager on menus
- Inputting and maintaining POS system with menus and pricing (Lightspeed)
- Scheduling regular maintenance of draft lines, coffee machine, ice machine, fridges, etc.
- Previewing tip process and adding up weekly hours and liaising with office manager
- Inventory (weekly and bi-weekly) and put into system
- Review contacts and contracts with suppliers
This is a full time contract position starting mid fall and running through the end of the ski season.
Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
