As a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician, you will join a well-supported shop team that keeps our oilfield service fleet safe, reliable, and ready for the field. This is a hands-on role for a skilled technician who wants variety, modern tooling, strong apprentice support, and stable year-round work without constant travel or being away from home for extended periods.

Your Responsibilities:
In alignment with Lifting Solutions’ culture, mission, vision, and values, you will take ownership of high-quality equipment service, diagnostics, and repair work that directly supports safe and reliable field operations.

Diagnose, repair, and improve the reliability of light-duty and heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and specialized oilfield equipment.

Use your technical judgment to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, complete failure analysis, and recommend practical repair solutions.

Perform CVIP inspections on the cab and chassis of light-duty and heavy-duty mobile equipment.

Work on a variety of equipment and repair scopes, keeping each day engaging and technically challenging.

Support and mentor apprentices by sharing technical knowledge, safe work practices, and practical troubleshooting approaches.

Participate in safety, technical incident, and equipment investigations when required.

Remain current and compliant with regulatory requirements, company procedures, and required PPE standards.

Pursue continued development through advanced diagnostics, manufacturer training, and technical learning opportunities.

This is a safety-sensitive role that may involve physically demanding work, shop-based repairs, exposure to oilfield equipment, and coordination with field operations. The successful candidate will be committed to safe work practices, regulatory compliance, and high-quality workmanship while contributing to a professional shop environment built on teamwork, pride, and reliability.
Your Qualifications and Experience:
We are looking for a technician who takes pride in solving problems, keeping equipment running, and contributing to a shop where people support each other and the work is done properly.

Registered Alberta Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification or Interprovincial Red Seal certification is required.

A CVIP license and prior welding experience are considered strong assets. Candidates must be capable of obtaining required licensing after employment, if not already certified.

Previous well servicing industry experience, particularly in artificial lift and/or continuous rod handling, is considered an asset.

Minimum valid Class 5 driver’s license with a five-year driver’s abstract in good standing.
