Duties
- Supervise daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
- Lead and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment focused on collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Oversee inventory management, including stock control, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize resources.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the kitchen area.
- Coordinate menu planning and assist with culinary innovation to keep offerings fresh and appealing.
- Manage shift schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and monitor staff performance for optimal productivity.
- Support catering events and banquet services by overseeing food production and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality dishes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food production, kitchen management, or restaurant supervision with a focus on fine dining or catering environments.
- Strong background in banquet experience, dietary department procedures, and food handling safety protocols.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with prior supervising or team management experience in the food industry.
- Knowledge of inventory control systems, menu planning, and food service management practices.
- Excellent cooking skills combined with a thorough understanding of culinary techniques and presentation standards.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail and high standards of quality.
- Familiarity with hospitality industry regulations, including food safety certifications such as ServSafe or equivalent.
