Why Fraser Health?:
Our team is looking for a compassionate part-time (0.2 FTE) palliative care physician to support a 15-month parental leave (Sept 2026 to Jan 2028). This is an exciting opportunity, where you will work alongside other palliative care physicians to provide consultation services to acute care and community-based patients.
Throughout the Fraser Health Authority we provide integrated, regional, comprehensive palliative care services in a number of settings including 30 Palliative Complex Care Unit (PCCU) beds; consult services in 12 acute care sites as well as in the community and other settings; and support to 126 hospice beds. Additionally, we provide under-graduate and post-graduate teaching in affiliation with the Division of Palliative Care at the University of British Columbia.
Qualifications:

Eligibility for medical licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia is required.

Certification from either the College of Family Physicians of Canada or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Preference will be provided to individuals who have completed additional training in Palliative Medicine, from either stream outlined below:
- One-year enhanced skills residency and acquired the Certificate of Added Competence (CAC) through the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
- Two-year Royal College subspecialty in Palliative Medicine.
Remuneration: by service contract at a rate set provincially by the Ministry of Health
