Job Overview
- Location: Dilworth Dr, Kelowna, BC
- Pay Rate: $23.00 – $26.00 per hour
- Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (24 hours/week base)
- Flexibility: Options for Friday shifts and longer daily hours are available
- Anticipated Training August 4/5/6
- Anticipated Start date: August 10
Core Responsibilities
- Freight Management: Manage, monitor and maintain inventory records of freight (primarily furniture) in and out of the warehouse; vendor and freight follow ups
- Claims: report, submit and manage claims, re-package furniture for returns
- Delivery Prep: Stage and prepare orders to be loaded for delivery. Communicate with teams on status
- Assembly & Repair: Assemble furniture items (including flat pack) and perform basic repairs.
- Facilities: Maintain supply levels, maintain a clean (bathroom, floors), organized, and safe warehouse.
- Furniture Delivery: Able to operate 1-tonne cube van to make small deliveries independently and/or attend as 3 person with delivery team.
Key Requirements
- Physical Strength: Ability to safely lift up to 100 lbs.
- Licensing: Valid, clean BC Full Class 5 Driver’s Licence.
- Forklift Certificate: training can be provided if needed or updated.
- Freight knowledge: experience with freight and logistics
- Driving Experience: Confident driving and maneuvering a cube van.
- Tech Skills: Basic proficiency with Google Sheets, Outlook, and inventory software.
- Soft Skills: Punctual, detail-oriented, organized, follow instructions/policy/procedure (and work with teams to update), ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a team environment, and professional for customer-facing interactions.
- Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
