We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children. This role involves planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, fostering social and emotional development, and supporting children's individual needs. The Early Childhood Teacher will work closely with children, parents, and colleagues to promote a positive learning experience that encourages growth and curiosity.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement creative lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through engaging activities
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and developmental needs
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and classroom activities
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum enhancements and classroom management strategies
- Incorporate bilingual instruction (English/French) when applicable to support diverse learners
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate children with disabilities or special needs
- Utilize computer skills for record keeping, lesson planning, and communication purposes
- Demonstrate leadership in managing classroom routines and guiding children's behavior
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and safety standards
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs preferred
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members
- Excellent organizational skills for managing classroom activities and documentation
- Ability to demonstrate leadership and time management skills in a dynamic environment
- Proficiency in computer operation for documentation, lesson planning, and communication tools
- Classroom experience that showcases creativity, patience, and adaptability
- Relevant certifications or credentials in early childhood education are preferred

Pay: $15.00-$18.00 per hour
