Hours: 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.

Rotation: 4 days on / 4 days off (full availability required)
Allied Universal is seeking a dedicated Security Guard to support site security operations across our Nova Scotia locations. This role is ideal for a reliable and professional security officer who is confident in patrol duties, comfortable using technology, and able to respond effectively in dynamic situations.

Conduct regular patrols and monitor site security

Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergency situations (medical, fire, disturbances, etc.)

Control access to the site and verify employees, visitors, and contractors

Complete daily logs, reports, and assigned security tasks

Communicate professionally with site management and stakeholders
-
Maintain a strong presence to deter theft, damage, and unsafe activity

Use security systems, communication tools, and basic computer applications
-
Minimum 6 months experience in a security guard role

Valid driver’s license

Valid Ontario Security License

First Aid & CPR certification

Ability to work a full rotational overnight schedule

Strong communication and customer service skills

Comfortable using computers and wireless communication systems

Eligible to work in Canada (up to 40 hours/week)

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience

Physically able to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 20 kg

Stable full-time rotational schedule
