Bookkeeper (Part-Time)
The Hummingbird is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support our growing business.
The ideal candidate has strong experience with Xero and can confidently manage day-to-day bookkeeping while helping establish efficient financial processes, including payroll.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all bookkeeping in Xero
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare HST information and assist with filings
- Set up and manage payroll
- Maintain accurate financial records
- Prepare monthly financial reports
- Support year-end preparation with our accountant
- Recommend and implement bookkeeping best practices and efficient processes
Qualifications:
- Proven bookkeeping experience
- Strong working knowledge of Xero (required)
- Experience setting up and administering payroll
- Knowledge of Canadian payroll, HST, and bookkeeping requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
This is a flexible part-time position with the opportunity to grow as our business continues to expand. We're looking for someone who is proactive, organized, and enjoys helping a small business build strong financial systems from the ground up.
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
