Job description:
Reporting to the General Manager, the Solar and Energy Storage Sales person is responsible for driving new sales and supporting market expansion in the residential and commercial solar and energy storage sector. This role is tailored for a highly motivated, resilient, and outgoing sales professional. You are someone who loves being out in the community, thrives on working independently, and excels at breaking the ice through direct field outreach, door-knocking, and networking. Your primary focus is filling the pipeline with qualified leads and nurturing relationships from the first handshake to the final close.
Roles and responsibilities include:
- Field Outreach: Conduct direct door-to-door canvassing in targeted residential and commercial areas to introduce our solar and energy storage solutions.
- Lead Generation: Actively prospect, qualify, and build a consistent pipeline of residential and commercial solar opportunities.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Present proposals, handle objections, and manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to close.
- Accurate CRM Tracking: Maintain clean, active daily records of your field leads and pipeline progress in Monday.com.
- Event Representation: Attend local home shows, trade exhibitions, and community events to generate face-to-face leads and build local brand visibility.
- Community Networking: Develop strong local relationships with builders, developers, property managers, and strategic local partners.
Required skills:
- Proven Field Sales Experience: Background in door-to-door sales, canvassing, face-to-face lead generation, or direct business development.
- Proactive: Self-motivated, resilient, and comfortable handling rejection with a positive, persistent attitude.
- Exceptional Interpersonal Skills: Natural ability to build rapport quickly with strangers, speak confidently, and read people well.
- Independence: Strong time-management skills with the ability to structure your own daily field schedule effectively.
- Tech Comfort: Ability to track field activities digitally (experience with CRM tools like Monday.com is an asset).
- Valid Driver’s License: Reliable transportation required for daily local travel and field outreach across the Victoria region.
