Responsibilities:
- Manage dogs in a pack setting and apply basic training techniques
- Lead pack hikes in an off-leash setting while maintaining control of pack energy
- Supervise and direct pack organization based on each individual dog’s size, energy level, behaviour, etc.
- Monitor and maintain a clean and sanitary environment (indoor and outdoor) by regularly cleaning and disinfecting play areas and equipment
- Provide basic grooming services such as brushing, rinsing and bathing
- Administer medications or treatments to dogs as directed by their owners or veterinarians
- Provide excellent customer service
- Task organization, prioritization and delegation
Experience/Key Assets:
- Strong leadership skills
- Previous experience working with dogs in a professional setting is preferred
- Knowledge of dog behaviour, breeds, and basic care practices
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact and build rapport with clients and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs)
- Own reliable transportation is required
- A commitment to continuous personal development and staying updated on best practices in training.
