Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Tire Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining tires on a variety of vehicles, ensuring safety and customer satisfaction. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality service and technical expertise. Prior dealership or mechanic experience is preferred, along with strong mechanical knowledge and customer service skills. The Tire Technician will utilize hand tools, power tools, and perform maintenance tasks to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
Responsibilities
- Install, rotate, balance, and repair tires on various vehicles with precision and care
- Conduct thorough inspections of tires and related components to identify issues
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform tire mounting and dismounting procedures
- Assist customers by explaining tire options, maintenance needs, and recommended services
- Perform heavy lifting of tires and equipment safely to facilitate efficient service
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and proper organization of tools and supplies
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance related to tire care as needed
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during tire installation and repair processes
Requirements
- Prior dealership or automotive mechanic experience is highly desirable
- Strong mechanical knowledge of tires, wheels, and automotive systems
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment effectively
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients
- Ability to lift heavy tires and equipment safely (heavy lifting required)
- Knowledge of automotive repair procedures related to tire servicing
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic sales skills to recommend appropriate products and services to customers
- Physical stamina for standing long periods and performing manual labor during shifts
Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
