Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fixture/Jig Welder / Prototype Welder to join our manufacturing team. This role involves fabricating, welding, and assembling custom fixtures, jigs, and prototypes to support our production processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding techniques, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.
Duties
- Fabricate and assemble fixtures, jigs, and prototypes according to detailed blueprints and schematics
- Perform MIG welding on various materials with precision to meet specifications
- Operate plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment for cutting and shaping metal components
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and quality
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions
- Conduct machining operations when required to modify or finish parts
- Perform quality checks using calipers and other measuring devices to ensure dimensional accuracy
- Assist in the setup of manufacturing equipment and maintain a clean, safe work environment
- Support prototype development by creating custom fixtures or parts for testing purposes
Qualifications
- Proven experience in welding (MIG) with a solid understanding of welding principles and safety procedures
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Familiarity with tools such as hand tools, power tools, calipers, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and schematics reading software
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary for fabrication tasks
- Knowledge of manufacturing standards related to welding, assembly, and quality control
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
