About the Role:
The Power Assembly Assistant supports the Manager of Power and Distribution Assemblies with the preparation and assembly of temporary power equipment used for events such as film productions, concerts, and other applications. This is a hands-on, entry-level role with opportunities to learn and grow within the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with assembling cables, connectors, and power distribution units
- Help prepare materials and components for builds
- Support testing and basic quality checks under supervision
- Organize tools, parts, and work areas to keep the shop running efficiently
- Assist with packing and staging equipment for jobs
- Follow safety procedures and instructions from the Manager
- Perform general shop support tasks as needed
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Interest in hands-on work and learning technical skills
- Comfortable using basic tools
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow instructions
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Ability to lift and move equipment as required
Nice to Have
- Experience in a warehouse, shop, or construction environment
- Basic understanding of electrical or mechanical work
