Harris Victoria Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is under exciting new management in our service department, and we are looking for a highly skilled, efficient apprentice to join our busy team.
This position is an excellent way to grow your career and transition into a top-earning Journeyman role. We provide on-the-job paid training, exposure to advanced diagnostics, and we will pay for your final block of schooling to help you secure your ticket. - Salary: $37.80 per hour (Flat Rate)
- Location: Victoria, BC — In-person
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (plus every 3rd Saturday for a partial day)
Core Responsibilities
- Advanced Diagnostics & Repair: Diagnose and repair complex powertrain, electrical, drivability, and HVAC issues on Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, and off-make vehicles.
- Flat-Rate Efficiency: Complete a high volume of repairs and maintenance tasks accurately within flat-rate time guidelines to maximize shop productivity.
- Mentorship & Collaboration: Work alongside seasoned Journeyman Technicians and help guide junior lube or tire technicians when needed.
- Digital Inspections: Execute detailed multi-point safety inspections, document required parts and labor clearly, and coordinate with Service Advisors.
- Shop Safety: Maintain a clean, organized workstation and adhere strictly to provincial safety regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Apprenticeship Status: Registered 4th Year Automotive Service Technician Apprentice.
- Experience: Strong mechanical proficiency with a proven track record of booking efficient hours in a shop environment.
- Attitude: Upbeat, highly motivated, team-oriented, and eager to learn complex dealership diagnostic systems.
- Tools: Own comprehensive set of tools appropriate for a 4th-year apprentice level.
- Licence: Valid driver's licence and a clean driving record are required to road-test client vehicles.
