Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, with experience in acute care and pain management. This role involves working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality medical services to patients across various settings, including hospital environments and home care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Administer medications and perform procedures as required.
- Document patient encounters accurately using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Epic and Cerner.
- Manage patient care in acute settings, ensuring timely interventions for pain management.
- Participate in research activities, collecting data to support clinical studies and improve patient outcomes.
- Provide pediatric care, addressing the unique needs of younger patients.
- Perform phlebotomy and other diagnostic procedures as necessary.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology and best practices within the field.
Experience
Candidates should have passed MCQE1 and prior experience in a hospital setting or medical office environment, demonstrating proficiency in electronic medical records management and familiarity with data collection processes. Experience in acute care, pain management, pediatrics, and home care is highly desirable. A solid understanding of medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team.
