Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Civil Construction Labourer to join our team. This role involves supporting various construction projects in central and northern Alberta, requiring physical stamina, safety awareness, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and have basic mechanical skills . This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in civil construction while contributing to large-scale projects.
Duties
- Assist with site preparation, including clearing and leveling areas for construction activities
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery safely and efficiently
- Support the rigging and lifting of heavy materials using appropriate techniques and equipment
- Operate small machinery as trained and certified
- Maintain safety standards by adhering to all safety protocols and wearing appropriate PPE
- Assist with material handling, loading, unloading, and transportation around the site
Experience
- Prior experience working in civil construction or related fields is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and safety procedures in construction environments is a plus
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including lifting heavy loads, shoveling and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong teamwork skills with a focus on safety compliance and efficient task completion
Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
