Steps Academy is looking for passionate, confident, and caring Alberta Registered Early Childhood Educators (Level 2 or Level 3) to join our growing team.
We have several positions available across our programs, including:
- Daycare
- Kindergarten
- Out of School Care
We offer a variety of schedules to fit your lifestyle, including:
- Full-time
- Part-time
- Split shifts
Our centres are located in Southwest Calgary.
What You'll Do
- Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
- Create a warm, positive, and inclusive classroom where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to learn.
- Support children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Provide attentive care while ensuring children's health, safety, and well-being.
- Work collaboratively with families and fellow educators to support each child's growth.
- Maintain accurate documentation of children's learning, attendance, and daily activities.
- Keep classrooms clean, organized, and well-prepared with engaging learning materials.
- Support children of all abilities and encourage participation in all aspects of the program.
What We're Looking For
- Alberta Early Childhood Educator Level 2 or Level 3 Certification (required).
- Experience working with young children in a licensed childcare setting.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A confident, positive, and professional attitude.
- A genuine passion for helping children learn and succeed.
- The ability to create meaningful relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
- Experience supporting children with diverse learning needs is considered an asset.
Upon hiring you will need to provide:
- A valid police check with vulnerable sector search (dated within 6 months)
- First aid level B or C (dated within 3 years)
- Food handlers certificate (dated within 3 years)
- Any additional professional development certificates
