Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and hard-working shipping and receiving associate with hands-on experience in shipping and receiving. In this role you will be responsible for the accurate receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of products and materials. This role ensures inventory is handled efficiently, orders are processed accurately, and all warehouse operations are completed safely and on time. This position is full-time with the potential to join the Blue production union following 30 days of employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and condition.
- Unload deliveries and organize inventory in designated warehouse location.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Create shipping labels and prepare shipping documentation.
- Load and unload trust safely and efficiently using a forklift.
- Coordinate shipments with parcel and freight carriers

Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, logistics, or inventory experience in a high-volume warehouse or distribution environment
- Forklift certification or experience operation a forklift
- Previous experience with barcode scanners, RF scanners, or inventory management software.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn warehouse management systems.
- Ability to read and understand shipping documents, packing slips, and inventory records.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-starter and have continuous improvement mindset.
Physical demands:
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Regularly bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and twist.
- Operate warehouse equipment and machinery as required.
- Perform repetitive motions, including lifting, scanning, and packing products.

Work Environment:
- Fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment.
- Exposure to varying temperatures depending on season and facility conditions.
- Frequent interaction with shipping carriers, warehouse staff, and operations personnel.
- Regular use of warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, forklifts, and barcode scanners.
- Noise levels may vary and can be moderate to high during peak operational periods.
- Must adhere to all company safety policies and use required personal protective equipment (PPE) when applicable.
Union Membership:
After 30 days of employment the successful candidate will become a member of the Local 30 Blue production union, receiving all associated benefits and protections.
