Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for food preparation and service. As the Head Chef, you will oversee all kitchen operations, ensure food safety standards are met, and inspire your team to achieve culinary excellence in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Duties
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including cooks and food service personnel, ensuring smooth daily operations
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain high-quality standards
- Develop and update menu offerings in collaboration with management, incorporating innovative dishes and seasonal ingredients
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage kitchen budgets effectively
- Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills in food industry best practices
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area according to health codes
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless serving of meals and exceptional customer service
- Lead by example in hospitality, serving guests when necessary and fostering a positive work environment
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Expertise in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food industry standards
- Strong team management and leadership abilities to motivate staff and improve performance
- Extensive restaurant management experience with a focus on kitchen operations
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with team members and front-of-house staff
- Ability to oversee multiple responsibilities efficiently in a high-pressure environment
- Passion for culinary arts with an innovative approach to menu development
- Experience in hospitality or restaurant experience is highly desirable for success in this role
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
