Lifting Stars Veterinary Homecare is a Vancouver-owned and operated mobile veterinary practice, proudly serving our community for over 10 years. We specialize in at-home palliative care and euthanasia, supporting companion animal guardians as they say goodbye in the peace and comfort of their own homes.
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced veterinary assistant to join our team as a Support Specialist in a flexible, casual capacity.
This role is designed to provide vacation and illness coverage, with hours not exceeding approximately 15 hours per month initially.
This is a Vancouver-based role that includes remote support work.

- Remote client communication and scheduling support
- Assisting with logistical coordination for our mobile veterinarians
- Supporting the team behind the scenes to ensure families feel cared for
Our Ideal Candidate
You have at least 2 years of clinical experience and are confident in your phone skills.
You are calm, grounded, and emotionally aware — able to support families through deeply meaningful and often emotional moments.
You communicate clearly and compassionately, both in person and by phone or email.
You are organized, self-motivated, and adaptable.
You understand the geography of the Greater Vancouver and Lower Mainland area.
You live in the Greater Vancouver area.
Position Requirements
- Must live in Vancouver, BC
- Minimum 2 years of veterinary experience
- Strong phone and email communication skills
- Access to a reliable computer and internet connection
- Quiet, private workspace for remote shifts
- Familiarity with Lower Mainland geography
- Flexible schedule
This is a flexible coverage role for vacation and sick leave.
Hours will not exceed approximately 15 hours per month initially, with scheduling arranged in advance whenever possible.
Compensation for the initial Support Specialist coverage role begins at $22 CAD per hour.
