Contrax Equipment wholesales high quality rubber tracks, undercarriage parts, and material handling products to Equipment Dealers across Canada. We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team for our Western Canada Territory. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing new business opportunities to drive company growth and revenue, while maintaining current client relationships.
The ideal candidate will possess proven results-oriented track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets. 3+ years’ business development and/or sales experience, particularly within the agriculture and construction parts sectors, is an asset.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Develops, implements, and manages sales strategies to achieve the company’s short and long-term goals
· Spends 50% - 75% of the time on the road in the designated sales territory
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners, primarily at the dealer and rental store level
· Presents company offerings to potential clients and partners
· Negotiates and closes deals to meet and exceed sales targets
· Develops and executes strategies to enter new markets or expand existing ones
· Collaborate with cross -functional teams tailoring products/services to market
· Create and execute a comprehensive business development plan
· Sets clear, measurable objectives and key results
· Completes/Updates opportunities and/or trip visit reports into Netsuite
· Works closely with the sales and marketing teams to align strategies
· Shares market insights and feedback to refine offerings
· Focuses on driving customer retention and increased customer satisfaction
· Reviews financial statements, sales or activity reports, or other performance data to measure productivity and/or goal achievement
· Identify areas needing cost reduction or program improvement
· Investigates and resolves service/product quality issues working with the warranty and management teams
Preferred Education/Experience/Skills
- 3+ years’ business development and/or sales experience, particularly within the agriculture and construction parts sectors, is an asset
- Possess valid, clean driver’s license; willingness to travel 50 % - 75% of the time as required; ability to rent vehicles for travel
- Advanced computer knowledge including Outlook, Word, and Excel software
· Strong written, communication, and interpersonal skills
· Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities; Ability to work independently and as part of a team
