Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Baker. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in the food industry, particularly in baking, food preparation, and customer service. The Baker will be responsible for creating visually appealing cakes, ensuring food safety standards are met, and providing excellent service to our customers. Duties
- Decorate cakes and baked goods with precision and creativity, adhering to customer specifications and presentation standards
- Prepare a variety of food items, including baked goods, desserts, and other menu offerings
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as mixing, assembling, and packaging products for sale or delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Handle food with care to ensure quality and hygiene standards are upheld
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service, including taking orders and answering questions about products
- Ensure proper packaging of baked goods for retail or delivery purposes
- Follow all food handling procedures to maintain a safe environment for both staff and customers
Qualifications
- 1 year experience in cake decorating or baking is highly preferred
- Food industry experience is a plus, especially in fast-paced environments
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with food packaging and presentation techniques
- A passion for baking, culinary arts, and creating beautiful desserts
