- Work in coordination with the Management team and the Shop Supervisor to oversee a team of welders, fitters and general labour staff.
- Have strong skills in reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings.
- Inspect all areas of fabrications to compliance with the codes, standards and drawings, including fit-up/layout, orientations, dimensions, weld type and size, and quality of finished welds.
- Address employee issues such as performance and provide training and guidance where needed.
- Work strictly in compliance with safety policies and procedures. Includes proper use of PPE and equipment operation.
- Operate equipment as needed such as overhead cranes, forklifts, etc.
- Provide feedback on employee, fabrication and quality related issues.
Requirements:
- Must have experience with fitting, welding and general steel fabrication processes.
- Knowledge of fabrication codes and quality requirements (Preference for experience with ASME codes)
- Experience with welding procedures, and their requirements.
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
