Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Stone Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cutting, shaping, and finishing natural and engineered stone materials to meet project specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of machinery, tools, and safety protocols to produce high-quality stone products for various applications including countertops, flooring, and architectural features. Responsibilities
- Operate fabrication equipment such as saws, grinders, and polishers to cut and shape stone materials accurately.
- Measure and mark stone slabs according to project specifications using hand tools and measuring devices.
- Use power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment safely to perform tasks related to stone cutting, polishing, and finishing.
- Assemble stone components as needed for installation or further processing.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate protective gear at all times during fabrication processes.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
- Assist with warehouse organization, material handling, and inventory management when necessary.
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating fabrication machinery and power tools.
- Experience with forklift operation and heavy equipment handling preferred.
- Proficiency in machining, assembly, welding, and use of hand tools.
- Background in manufacturing or construction environments is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Ability to read technical drawings and measurements accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Prior warehouse experience or familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus.
