Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Material Handler to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will support manufacturing and production operations by ensuring materials and supplies are received, stored, and delivered efficiently. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide timely and reliable service to internal and external customers.
- Receive, load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse and production areas.
- Ensure materials are stocked and stored accurately on shelves or pallets.
- Perform inventory transactions and data entry using the company's inventory management system (SAP experience is an asset).
- Conduct scheduled inventory and cycle counts.
- Load and unload transport trucks safely and efficiently.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
- Complete daily equipment and safety inspections.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Report safety concerns, equipment issues, or operational challenges to the Warehouse Lead or Supervisor.
- Follow all company health, safety, environmental, and security policies and procedures.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements.
- Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
- Valid forklift certification (required).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with SAP or other warehouse management systems is considered an asset.
- Shipping, receiving, or mail processing experience is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
