Description:
We have an opening for a full-time permanent Service and Sales Technician servicing NORTH and WEST VANCOUVER. We can train anyone with 3 key attributes.
1- positive attitude - we have a great work environment so a bad attitude is like a flat tire...you aren't going anywhere with anyone until you get that fixed
2- regular attendance - Show up! We don't need people who have poor attendance or call in 'sick' a lot. We are a team and work together rowing in the same direction
3- aptitude - show common sense. If you got it, you got it. But we can't fix stupid! ;)
Duties will include:
- Inspect buildings and outside areas at regular intervals
- Determine type of treatment required and provide estimate of cost to clients
- Prepare and apply product on infested areas
- Coach and counsel clients to prevent pest infestation
- Inspect premises to identify infestation source, extent of damage, and access to infested locations
- Study preliminary reports and diagrams of infested area and determine treatment type required to eliminate and prevent recurrence of infestation
- Route growth through sales
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements:
- High-School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent
- Valid provincial pesticide applicator license preferred. Can be obtained once hired.
- Valid driver’s license / clean driving record
- Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service and time management skills
- Will have to undergo a criminal background check; sign a non-compete agreement; participate in testing as part of the interview process
- Ability to manage and work alone or as part of a team
- Sales experience an asset

We are currently accepting applications for immediate employment and training for our ever-growing, successful pest management firm. We require hard working, honest, professional, team oriented people. This is a great job! We can train to give you your structural pest control certificate. Applicant must have a valid drivers licence and be willing to go through a background criminal check.
No experience necessary! Check out the TV show "Billy the Exterminator" on A&E or YouTube and that will give you a very good idea what you will be doing.

Opportunity is here for you to make good money and learn an important trade in protecting the health and property of consumers. Starting/Training wage is $20-$23/hr (negotiable). UPDATED : $22-$26/hr plus OT available for those who want it! Previous industry experience may or may not matter. Valid Applicators License 'will' be taken into consideration. That is beneficial.
We train you to get certified through an 'open-book' government exam.
