3+ years of general work experience in a customer service role in a public sector setting, with preference given to experience in a health care setting.
1+ year of experience in general research or research administration.
Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience, Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Psychology, Health Sciences, or a related discipline.
Minimum two (2) years of experience providing administrative, operational, or research support in an academic, hospital, or research environment.
Experience working in a preclinical neuroscience or biomedical research laboratory is preferred
Experience supporting research administration, including preparation or maintenance of Animal Care Committee (ACC) protocols, biosafety documentation, SOPs, or related regulatory materials is an asset.
Experience providing administrative or executive support, including calendar management, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, correspondence, and document preparation.
Experience supporting procurement activities, expense tracking, reimbursement processes, financial documentation, and travel coordination is considered an asset.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and familiarity with databases, laboratory information systems, or research management tools.
Experience preparing scientific manuscripts, presentations, grant documents, reports, and knowledge translation materials.
Experience with graphic design and scientific visualization software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, BioRender, or equivalent) for figure preparation, presentations, and communication materials is strongly preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to maintain accurate records.
Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced research environment.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hiring Salary Range: $65,260.62 – $81,575.78 per year ( based on qualifications and experience )
- Full Salary Range: $65,260.62 – $97,890.93 per year ( reflecting potential growth within the role )
