Job Summary
The Student Success Internship offers a dynamic opportunity for individuals interested in supplemental education, student engagement, and support services. This paid internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in student outreach, program coordination, and data analysis. Interns will work closely with Centre staff to promote student success initiatives, develop communication skills, and gain insight into Kumon methodologies. The role is ideal for motivated students seeking to build a foundation in educational administration, teaching, or educational entrepreneurship.
Duties
- Providing individualized instruction to students through: observing work skills, study habits, and motivation in class; discussing study plans and observations with the Instructor; developing a plan to enhance student study efficiency and effectiveness
- Communicating with parents to: equip them with tools to build and improve their children's home study environment and routine; educate them on how to support their children's self-learning development; and facilitate communication and act as a liaison between the Instructor and parent
- Developing programs to broadly assist in increasing student motivation for learning
- Analyzing student data to identify trends and areas for improvement
Experience
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences through public speaking and interpersonal interactions
- Experience or familiarity with analysis skills to interpret data and generate insights
- Background or interest in teaching, or higher education environments is a plus
- Previous experience in customer service, tutoring, or mentoring roles is advantageous but not mandatory
