We are looking for a skilled Senior Mechanic / Maintenance Technician to support our maintenance operations and ensure our equipment runs smoothly.
Job Summary:
As a Senior Mechanic / Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment and facility systems to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency. This hands-on role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production machinery, conveyors, packaging equipment, and facility infrastructure.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, and pneumatic issues on various equipment, including fillers, cappers, labelers, conveyors, and packaging machines.
- Assist in the implementation of preventive maintenance programs.
- Respond to breakdowns and emergency repairs in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with safety, food safety, and regulatory standards (FSSC22000).
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a CMMS.
- Assist in equipment installation, modifications, and upgrades.
- Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a food manufacturing or processing environment.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of PLCs and control systems is a plus.
- Experience in beverage/dairy industry is an asset.
- Knowledge of use of appropriate tools and spare parts for equipment
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Understanding of safety protocols, GMPs, and HACCP principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to learn quickly.
