Position: Part Time Security Guard
Site: INNIO Waukesha
Hours: Saturday and Sunday (2000 - 0800)
Pay Rate: $20.15/hr.
Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Key Responsibilities:

Understand and follow site security policies and procedures.

Maintain an open and objective mindset, respecting the diversity of employees and visitors.

Assist visitors and employees during emergencies and promptly contact appropriate emergency services.

Ensure the safety of the property by verifying that all security systems and measures are functioning properly.

Conduct proactive interior and exterior patrols, address policy breaches, and report facility concerns.

Respond to alarms and emergencies quickly and professionally to avoid unnecessary panic.

De-escalate crises, provide support, and liaise with emergency personnel.

Manage Lost & Found items and inquiries.
-
Provide first aid and medical assistance when required.

Maintain positive relationships with INNIO staff and external visitors by delivering timely and accurate support.

Perform duties assigned by the Security Leadership team and follow client directives.

Complete incident reports accurately and investigate routine occurrences.
-
Communicate concerns or issues promptly to the Operations Manager.

Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
-
Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
-
Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider
-
English (oral and written) fluency is a must
-
Must have one year experience in security, or law enforcement
-
Legally authorized to work in Canada
-
Degree in Police Foundations, Protection Security and Investigations, Criminology, or Border Services will be an asset
-
Ability to walk/climb stairs throughout the premises for longer periods of time

Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
-
Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
Please be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
