Position summary:
The school Bus Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of students to and from school, field trips, and other school- related activities. The role requires a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and the well- being of children.
Key Responsibilities:
· Safely operate a school bus along assigned routes and schedules
· Pick up and drop off students at designated stops on time
· Ensure the safety and supervision of students while on the bus
· Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
· Maintain discipline and appropriate behavior among students
· Follow all traffic laws, school policies, and safety regulations
· Report accidents, delays, mechanical issues, or incidents to supervisors
· Keep accurate records, including route logs and incident reports
· Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the bus
Qualifications & Requirements:
· Valid commercial driver’s license (Class 2, school bus endorsement
· Clean driving record
· First Aid/ CPR certification
· Successful completion of background checks (including vulnerable sector check)
· Previous experience working with children is an asset

Working Conditions:
· Split shifts (morning and afternoon routes)
· Exposure to various weather and road conditions
· Sitting for extended periods
Occasional field trips or extracurricular transport
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
