Buildforth by Paradigm is hiring an experienced Carpenter to support active construction projects throughout British Columbia. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, works well as part of a crew, and is comfortable travelling to project locations.
You will complete a broad range of carpentry work, including framing, finishing, and the installation and connection of prefabricated wall-panel systems produced within the Paradigm Group. You will help ensure panels, structural components, windows, doors, and finishes are installed safely, accurately, and in accordance with drawings and project requirements.

- CAD 34.50-40.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
- Travel to active projects throughout British Columbia, Alberta & the Yukon (see those northern lights)
- Typical 10-12 hour shifts, with overtime based on project schedules

- Install, align, brace, fasten, and connect prefabricated wall panels in accordance with drawings, specifications, and site requirements.
- Construct and install framing, partitions, floor and roof systems, stairs, windows, doors, exterior components, and finishes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, wall-panel layouts, building plans, and project specifications.
- Measure, mark, cut, shape, assemble, and fasten wood and other construction materials accurately.
- Verify layout, dimensions, openings, connections, plumb, level, and fit before and during installation.
- Inspect materials and completed work, identify deficiencies, and complete adjustments or repairs as required.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, saws, and other construction equipment.
- Coordinate with forepersons, site supervisors, crane operators, other trades, and project teams to keep work moving efficiently.
- Support apprentices and less-experienced team members by sharing practical knowledge and safe work practices.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow company safety requirements, site procedures, and PPE standards.
- Three to five years of carpentry or directly related construction experience.
- Strong framing and general carpentry skills, with confidence reading drawings and completing accurate layouts.
- Experience with prefabricated or panelized construction, wall-panel installation, crane-assisted erection, or modular building systems is an asset.
- Carpentry apprenticeship training, Red Seal, or Journeyperson Carpenter certification is an asset, but not required.
- Fall Protection and other relevant safety certifications are assets.
- Ability to safely use carpentry tools and equipment and complete the physical requirements of active site work.
- A collaborative attitude, strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and practical problem-solving skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel, work extended shifts, and adapt to project schedules and changing site conditions.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation are preferred.
- CAD 34.50-40.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
