Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components used for various piece of equipment. This role requires proficiency in multiple welding techniques, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints. The Welder/Fabricator will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of all fabricated products, contributing to the successful completion of projects.
Duties
- Perform MIG, TIG, and plasma cutting welding operations on various metal materials with precision and adherence to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements.
- Operate machinery such as press brake machines, power tools, hand tools, and machining equipment to shape and assemble components.
- Use calipers, schematics, and basic math skills to measure and verify dimensions accurately.
- Rigging materials and coordinate with cranes for lifting heavy components safely during fabrication or assembly processes.
- Fabricate ductwork, structural steel, or custom metal parts for construction or manufacturing projects.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols related to welding, machining, and material handling.
- Assist with assembly tasks as needed, ensuring components fit correctly according to schematics and specifications.
- Operate forklifts when necessary for material movement within the workspace.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in welding and fabrication within a mechanic shop environment.
- Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in using hand tools, power tools, calipers, and schematics reading.
- Ability to operate machinery such as plasma cutters, press brake machines, cranes, forklifts, and machining equipment.
- Knowledge of rigging techniques for lifting heavy materials safely using cranes or other lifting devices.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading and basic math skills relevant to fabrication tasks.
- Experience working with ductwork, structural steel, or similar materials is preferred.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high safety standards.

Pay: $29.00-$33.00 per hour
