Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery, vehicles, and equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical issues accurately using hand tools and power tools, then execute effective repairs.
- Disassemble, repair, and reassemble mechanical components with precision and attention to detail.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems and develop solutions.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies to promote a safe working environment.
- Assist in ordering parts and supplies needed for repairs to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot a wide range of machinery issues.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and hammers.
- Experience with power tools including drills, grinders, impact wrenches, and saws.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Good communication skills for documenting work performed and collaborating with colleagues.
